Abstract

As mobile banking applications become more complex, the number of test cases required in the testing process also continues to increase. One testing method that is often used to maintain application quality is regression testing. Superbank, as one of the digital banks in Indonesia, has various features with relatively high complexity. This condition makes the regression testing process less efficient when it is carried out manually. In addition, lower testing quality may increase the possibility of bugs or system issues appearing in the application. Therefore, the implementation of automated regression testing is expected not only to improve testing efficiency, but also to support information technology risk control in Superbank’s mobile banking application. This study analyzes the transition from manual to automated regression testing by using secondary data from Superbank’s testing documentation, including regression test reports, Lumos Dashboard, spreadsheets, and JIRA records. The analysis focuses on the growth of regression test cases, automated regression test coverage, weighted automated test pass rate, and the role of automation in supporting IT risk control. The findings show that automated regression testing helps improve the consistency, coverage, and efficiency of regression testing. It also supports preventive control by reducing the possibility of system errors reaching the production environment.
